The Baby Pod 20 uses TransWarmer® Infant Transport Mattresses, which allow warming for up to two hours without the need for a power source and provide a safe and comfortable solution for treating infants. The unique gel-exothermic mattress is clinically proven to provide a constant 100°F (38°C) temperatures for up to two hours without electricity. The TransWarmer Mattress is heated by a single-use exothermic reaction within a non-toxic gel. Even outside of the Baby Pod, the TransWarmer Mattress can be a variable source of warmth anywhere in the NICU/PICU, or anywhere else that newborns can experience cold stress.
Infant Positioning Straps
The Infant Positioning Straps safely keep the patient in place during transportation. They made from soft foam so they are comfortable for the infant. These single-use straps fasten using Velcro®, for easy application. The straps measure 13 inches (33 cm) in length.
